Hi, I'm Yael Young Akmal, aka "Yael Pastel".
I am an Austin-based pastel artist whose practice explores the intersections of nature and the human experience.
My pet portrait commissions have become my "pet project", so to speak. It was born from a desire to honor the extraordinary bond between people and their animal companions.
